You are responsible for the authorizations in your unit. The Ownership feature allows you to transfer responsibility for an authorization without having to actually create it yourself. If you are the new Administrator and you want to Take Ownership for all the authorizations created by your predecessor just create a search for all created by the predecessor, select all the records or just those that you are responsible for and use the Take Ownership button. This will make you the owner without you having to delete and re-add all those records.
